BEE Training Evaluation Report
From October–December 2025, the BEE (Building Emotion Regulation and Empathy) Project conducted a pilot implementation of The BEE Certificate in Child Social-Emotional Development and Mental Health with 7 educators working in the Peel Region. The purpose of the training is to translate developmental and clinical psychology research into practice and equip educators with evidence-based knowledge and strategies to support children’s social-emotional development and mental health. The training was delivered over the course of 6 weeks and included a combination of self-paced learning, virtual group sessions, practical and theoretical readings, and reflection-based and theory-based written assignments.
The participating educators completed a series of feedback surveys. The BEE team compiled the key evaluation findings into a report highlighting the feasibility and efficacy of the training. We hope the results in this report emphasize the value of infusing social-emotional content into training initiatives for educators, and that findings can be applied to inform future refinement, implementation, and scale-up of the training.
