How did your experience in the MBiotech program contribute to your career success?

The MBiotech program gave me the foundation to bridge science, business, and technology - the core of my career today. Its blend of scientific training, business education, and industry exposure taught me how to translate complex ideas into practical strategies, a skill I rely on when leading cloud and AI transformation programs at AWS. The program also strengthened my ability to communicate effectively across technical and executive audiences and equipped me with the interdisciplinary mindset that has guided my success across organizations like BCG, IBM, P&G, and now AWS.

What are some of the key skills and knowledge you acquired during the MBiotech program that are still valuable to you today?

The MBiotech program gave me several core skills that remain essential today: communicating complex scientific and technical concepts clearly, making data-driven decisions, and understanding how innovation moves from idea to implementation. Courses in strategy and commercialization helped me think beyond the lab and appreciate how technology creates real-world value. Equally important, the program strengthened my ability to collaborate with diverse, multidisciplinary teams - a capability that continues to shape my work leading large, cross-functional cloud and AI initiatives.

What advice would you give to current MBiotech students or recent graduates who are entering the job market?

Be curious and stay open to career directions you may not have imagined. The strength of the MBiotech program is its versatility - it prepares you for roles in science, business, technology, and the spaces in between. Don’t limit yourself to titles that perfectly match your degree; instead, look for opportunities where you can learn quickly, solve meaningful problems, and work with great people. Build strong relationships, ask thoughtful questions, and invest in communication skills - they will set you apart. Most importantly, trust that your MBiotech foundation equips you to adapt, grow, and lead in any environment.

Are there any memorable or transformative experiences from your time in the MBiotech program that you would like to share?

One of the most transformative aspects of the MBiotech program was collaborating with classmates from diverse scientific and professional backgrounds. Working together on real-world projects taught me how to bridge perspectives, communicate clearly, and turn complex ideas into actionable solutions - skills that became invaluable later when partnering with senior executives and technical teams at AWS, BCG, IBM, and P&G. Those group experiences also revealed how much I enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams toward a shared vision.

Any major accomplishment/achievement/award you would like to share with us?

Among the professional achievements I’m proud to highlight are: leading the launch and national distribution of Tide laundry pods in Canada at Procter & Gamble; heading the cross-functional team that delivered a new passenger service system for Air Canada; establishing the AWS business unit at IBM Canada; and guiding the strategic EMEA collaboration between Amazon Web Services and Infosys to accelerate cloud transformation across the financial services sector. Each accomplishment reflects a combination of strategic leadership, cross-industry experience, and executional rigor grounded in the interdisciplinary foundation I gained through the MBiotech program. Beyond titles or milestones, what matters most to me is the impact I’ve been able to make helping organizations innovate and adopt emerging technologies responsibly and effectively.
