Awards Committee

Chair: Chris Eaton

 

More than Marks Subcommittee: Michael Kaler & Monique Kampherm

The committee runs and adjudicates ISUP/RGASC's annual faculty, staff, and student awards and competitions. The committee also facilitates the writing and submission of nomination for larger UTM, tri-campus or association awards within UofT and beyond, helping to ensure efforts and achievements of ISUP/RGASC students, staff members, and faculty members are recognized


Space and Safety Committee

Chair: Aimy Lieu

The committee makes recommendations to the Director ISUP and Director RGASC on the procurement, use, and allocation of department-controlled spaces and resources. The committee will also discuss safety and make recommendations regarding training and safety awareness on campus.


Student Events and Social Committee

Co-Chairs: Aimy Lieu, Malisa Zhou, Louis Nguyen

The committee plans and executes campus events to promote and celebrate ISUP and RGASC. This includes organizing fall campus days, spring open house, and the end-of-year celebration. This committee also organizes social events and gatherings for the staff and faculty (e.g. mini socials, holiday lunch, etc.). 


EDI Committee

Co-Chairs: Tyler Evans-Tokaryk, Aimy Lieu

The committee undertakes curricular, co-curricular, and research initiatives that support and promote equity, diversity, and inclusivity in teaching and learning informed by scholarship and/or lived experience. The committee examines how ISUP/RGASC can support, contribute to, and implement institutional commitments around EDI. 


Research Committee

Chair: Chris Eaton

The committee runs and adjudicates the annual ISUP Research Grant competition. It also plans the annual ISUP Colloquium and other research events. 


Curriculum Committee

Chair: Laura Taylor

The committee will work to design, develop and implement a new interdisciplinary major/minor in the area of Teaching, Learning and Higher Education Studies. The committee is responsible for ensuring that ISUPs proposed courses: 

  • Align with UTM’s academic priorities and strategic goals.
  • Reflect pedagogical best practices.
  • Integrate interdisciplinary perspectives.
  • Respond to current and emerging educational needs within and beyond the university context.
