Christopher Rowe

Christopher Rowe is a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the Cinema Studies Institute at the University of Toronto, St. George and a Sessional Lecturer at the Department of Visual Studies at UTM.  He holds a BA (Honours) in English (Memorial University), an MA in Comparative Literature (Western University), and a PhD in Screen and Cultural Studies (The University of Melbourne). His areas of research and teaching interest include intermediality, media subjectivity, animation and comic book studies and science fiction cinema, and his work has appeared (or is forthcoming) in peer-reviewed journals such as First Monday, The Canadian Journal of Film Studies, and The Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics.  His first book, titled Michael Haneke: The Intermedial Void, is scheduled to be released by Northwestern University Press in Fall 2016.
