Anti-Racism and Anti-Elder Abuse Symposium organized by Associate Professor Weiguo Zhang

On April 23, 2023, Professor Weiguo Zhang successfully organized a hybrid symposium on Anti-Racism and Anti-Elder Abuse. The aim of the event was to promote safe and inclusive communities for older Chinese immigrants. The symposium had several objectives, including sharing experiences in addressing racism and ageism in Chinese communities, learning from experiences in non-Chinese communities, and discussing future action plans. Over 100 older adults, academics, practitioners, and policymakers participated in the event, sharing community practices and research findings, and discussing strategies to combat race and age-based discrimination.
