New Special Issue of Differences Journal co-edited by Art & Art History Professor John Paul Ricco

The most recent issue of the academic journal Differences (Duke University Press) was co-edited by Art & Art History professor John Paul Ricco together with Jacques Khalip. The issue, titled “Syntax of Thought: Reading Leo Bersani” features essays by 35 contributors and covers nearly every aspect of Bersani’s wide-ranging career.

For their contribution, each author was asked to select just one of Bersani’s sentences and to formulate a brief response to it. Responding to both the content of Bersani’s thought and his inimitable style, the 300-page issue stands as one of the most significant contributions to the study of Leo Bersani’s work.

Coming just a year after Bersani’s passing, the volume provides multiple pathways back into his work, and the experience of "re-registering" the currency of Bersani's thought today.
