The Tri-Agency has launched the 2027-28 Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) program. CPRA applicants submit applications directly to agencies. There is no separate university-level competition; however, applicants must plan sufficient time to obtain required institutional signatures.
New in 2027-28, the Graduate Awards Office is managing the CIHR CPRA competition and an MRA is no longer required to apply. CIHR applicants must submit their application by U of T's institutional deadline, which is September 7, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. For more information, please see SGS's CPRA web page.
