As a volunteer, you'll play a key role in creating a fun, inclusive, and memorable welcome for new to UTM students. Whether you're supporting events, guiding students across campus, or just being a friendly face, your energy and support will make a huge difference.

UTM Orientation 2026 Volunteer Roles
There are many ways you can support orientation as a volunteer, here are some examples of roles you may have:
Pathfinder: Responsible for guiding students as they navigate the UTM campus. Pathfinders will guide new to UTM students to events and resources during orientation.
Energizer: Responsible for facilitating conversations with new to UTM students during orientation events and helping them build connections with their peers.
We will host in person training before orientation starts for all volunteers that will contain more details about your role and responsibilities as a volunteer. This ensures that all our volunteers are well prepared for their role on the days of orientation.

How can I sign up to volunteer for UTM Orientation?
To sign up for UTM Orientation volunteering you would fill out the registration form above. Then the orientation team will reach out to everyone who signed up for next steps.
Did I miss registration for UTM Orientation?
The registration period for UTM Orientation 2026 is open and will close on August 3rd 2026.
Is there training to be a UTM Orientation Volunteer?
Yes - after applications close the orientation team will reach out to those who applied and let them know when the in person training session will occur.
Do I have to pay to volunteer for UTM Orientation?
No - This is a volunteer position that has no fees associated.
Is UTM Orientation Volunteering 2026 CCR approved?
Yes this is a CCR eligible volunteer role. There will also be a prize raffle for all our volunteers that will happen throughout orientation week.
