Dr. VanderLaan is the Director of the Biopsychosocial Investigations of Gender Laboratory. His cross-cultural program of research examines the development of psychological wellbeing and brain health in gender-diverse children and youth. In addition, his lab investigates the children's attitudes towards gender diversity with the goal of informing how to best promote understanding, acceptance, and inclusion of gender-diverse children and youth.
