UTM Biology Grads Won CSB Awards

The Department of Cell and Systems Biology, University of Toronto announced their 2022 Graduate Awards.

We are excited to announce that the following graduate students from UTM Biology were among the winners:

Jiashu Liu, PhD student, Dr. Baohua Liu Supervisor, won a Zoology International Scholarship.

"It is a great honor to receive the Zoology International Scholarship. I appreciate the team who selected me qualified for this award! I believe this award will improve me as it gives me confidence in my academic work. I also would like to thank all the members of Liu Lab for their countless help and support since they have enabled me to get this far."  noted Jiashu Liu.

 

Nasha Sethna, MSc student, Dr. Mark Currie Supervisor, won the CSB Senior Alumni Association Prize.

"I really like how the CSB department awards (and the donors who make them possible) are so varied and recognize so many different students within the department. I feel very honoured to be amongst the students who have received them in the past and will receive them in the future!"  said Nasha Sethna

 

Anhad Singh, MSc student, Dr. Adriano Senatore Supervisor, won the Vietnamese-Canadian Community Graduate Award.

 

Osama Abdalla, MSc student, Dr. Mary Cheng Supervisor, won the Alfred and Florence Aiken and Dorothy Woods Memorial Graduate Scholarship.
