Ruth Rivkin wins UTM Graduate Student Research Award 2021

On Wednesday afternoon, at the Graduate Research Colloquium, Dr. Jeremy Packer, Vice-Dean, Graduate, announced that the winner of the UTM Graduate Student Research Award 2021 is Ruth Rivkin, PhD student (Marc Johnson Lab).

The letters of support sent to the award committee mention that:

“Ruth has established herself as a leader in the field of evolutionary ecology, evidenced by the papers
she has published, talks and posters she has given, and awards she has received”.

“Ruth Rivkin is poised to be one of the most influential scholars to come out of the biology department
at UTM in the past few years. The Graduate Student Research Award is intended for people like her”
