The UTM Department of Biology established a Graduate Student Emergency Bursary to help alleviate immediate financial stress experienced by the graduate students who are negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and have unmet financial need with respect to their educational expenses. The bursary provides a one time only support up to $1,000 per student.
Eligibility
Eligible students are EEB, CSB and IMS students who are registered in a Master’s or PhD program in the 2020-2021 Fall and Winter sessions, and who are UTM affiliated and supervised by a faculty member appointed in the Department of Biology at UTM.
Application Process
The bursary application process is designed to collect basic applicant information as well as a brief explanation indicating the reason for the request and the total the amount requested. To apply for the Graduate Student Emergency Bursary, please complete this application form.
Disbursement
Once approved, the Graduate Student Emergency Bursary will be paid via ACORN and will be direct deposited to you bank account on record. Please ensure that your direct deposit information on ACORN is current.
