MCS Faculty and Student Present Novel Programming Language: Varphi at WCCCE 2025

Assistant Professor Mohammad Mahmoud and MCS student Hassan El-Sheikha recently attended the Western Canada Conference on Computing Education (WCCCE) in Calgary, where Hassan El-Sheikha presented Varphi, a new programming language designed to describe, simulate, and debug Turing machines. This innovative tool is especially valuable for courses like CSC363, offering a more intuitive way to engage with foundational computing concepts.
Please check out the Varphi project website and the research paper for more information.
