The Teaching Greenhouse

The Teaching Greenhouse

The Teaching Greenhouse (TGH) is located on the 5th floor of the University of Toronto Mississauga Davis Building, where it serves as a dynamic space for both educational purposes, offering students a hands-on environment for cultivating plants and exploring sustainable growing practices. The greenhouse is home to a 400+ plant species including mosses, succulents, ferns, herbs, flowering plants, and more! If you have a green thumb, or want to learn how you can develop one, enroll in some Biology courses that use the Teaching Greenhouse!

Courses Supported by the TGH

The TGH supports many undergraduate Biology courses by providing plant specimens for lectures and teaching labs. Courses include: BIO152, BIO153, BIO203, BIO312, BIO313, BIO318, BIO339, BIO353, BIO368, BIO313. Visit the UTM Academic Calendar webpage to learn more about each of these courses.
