Program Overview
The New Graduate Mentorship Program facilitates meaningful mentoring relationships between enthusiastic recent UTM graduates and supportive established alumni who are working in diverse fields and industries. Our amazing group of mentors are willing to share their academic and career experiences with our recent graduate mentees who are settling into life after graduation.
We know that our graduates have faced and overcome huge challenges over the last few years. As such, we have created a program to support our newest graduates as they transition from student life to the next step in their journey, whether that is joining the workforce or continuing their education.
We would like to connect a group of recent undergraduate alumni with our network of UTM alumni mentors. Our mentors are established career professionals from across the world who want to support your personal and professional development by sharing their knowledge and experience.
Benefits of being in this program include:
- Receive personalized support from an established alumni mentor
- Identify and/or solidify your career interests and priorities
- Expand your network and community with fellow recent graduates
- Strengthen your skills of professionalism, communication, career planning, goal setting and prioritization, decision-making and action
Applications for the 2024 program open in November 2023. Sign up below to be notified when applications open.
Timeline
The program will run over 8 weeks from February to March 2024 during which time you will be expected to have three 1-hour meetings with your mentor, attend one professional development and networking session, and an opening and closing reception. Mentor-Mentee meeting times are flexible and are to be arranged at a time that is convenient for you both.
