In response to the Ontario Government’s June announcement that commencing in September 2015 a two-year B.Ed. program will replace the current one-year B.Ed. programs in the Province, the University of Toronto is ceasing admission into the Concurrent Teacher Education Program (CTEP) for direct entry from high school applicants. Consequently, there will be no intake for 2014-2015.
Students currently registered in their first year of undergraduate study who are eligible and apply to be admitted into Year 2 of CTEP will continue their studies as planned and be admitted for the 2014-2015 academic year. Year 2 entry into CTEP will discontinue thereafter.
A variety of education focused pathways are currently under discussion at the University and future announcements will be made concerning undergraduate minor options and graduate programs in education.
