Dr. Olga Skarlato earned a PhD in peace and conflict studies from the University of Manitoba. Olga’s academic interests are in environmental conflict resolution and policymaking, conflict analysis, social justice, and global governance. Having traveled widely and lived in several different countries, including Germany, USA, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, Olga is fascinated with the beauty of the natural environment and the diversity and resilience of communities around the world. She has done research and published in the areas of environmental policymaking, dispute resolution, reconciliation, peacebuilding, and conflict transformation. She has taught courses in Political Science, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Globalization Studies at the University of Toronto Mississauga, McMaster University and at the University of Manitoba.
