Applying to the Program

At this time, applicants must be affiliated with one of the Africa Health Collaborative partner institutions to be eligible for the program. See affiliated programs above under "Eligibility Requirements"

No. While many participants currently hold management positions, healthcare professionals with demonstrated leadership potential and an interest in advancing into leadership roles are also encouraged to apply.

Yes. Selected participants receive a full scholarship funded through the Mastercard Foundation, covering tuition and learning materials. 

Participants should have reliable internet access and a computer capable of joining Zoom sessions. Personal internet or equipment costs are the participant's responsibility. 

Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email after the review process has been completed. 

During the Program 

Yes. All classes are delivered live online through Zoom, allowing participants to join from anywhere while continuing to work full-time. 

Participants should expect to dedicate approximately 3–5 hours per week, including live classes, readings, discussions, and project work. 

Yes. Throughout the program, you will complete a series of practical deliverables designed to reinforce your learning and help you apply concepts to real-world healthcare challenges. These assignments build toward a final project, which is submitted at the end of the program. All required deliverables, including the final project, must be successfully completed on a pass/fail basis to earn your certificate.

Yes. Participants learn alongside healthcare professionals from multiple African countries and engage with faculty, guest speakers, and peers throughout the program, creating valuable professional connections. 

A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to all participants who meet all program requirements, including attending at least 90% of the sessions. Certificates are mailed to participants, and a digital copy can also be provided via email upon request.

For programs that include an assessment component, the certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the required assessment activities. Assessments may include assignments, reflection essays, or a project, and are typically graded on a pass/fail basis.
