Does social media cause depression? Who is the most addicted to their phone? How can we cut down our own screen time? Join Dr. Jay Olson as he explores the causes and consequences of smartphone addiction across the world before discussing practical solutions. Following the presentation there will be a brief question and answer period.

Dr. Jay Olson is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He studies a range of topics across psychology and medicine including smartphone addiction, placebo effects, sleep, creativity, and psychedelic drugs. He did his previous graduate and postdoctoral training at McGill University and Harvard University.
