Ravi Gabble
Supervisor, Wellness Programs, University of Toronto Mississauga

About Me

Hi there! My name is Ravi, and I currently work as the Supervisor, Wellness Programs in the Department of Recreation, Athletics & Wellness at the University of Toronto Mississauga. In my role, I lead physical activity-based wellness programming to support student success. Alongside my professional career, I am pursuing a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto; and operate a small business called The Gabble Company, which develops and sells hand-designed paper & stationary products.

I am interested in being a mentor because I believe in the importance of giving back to my community and supporting young people in achieving their career and life goals. I am interested in working with any mentee who would like to chat about a career in public health, health promotion, health communications, higher education, art, small business, or any other relevant area!

The knowledge I would be interested in sharing with potential mentees is how to take care of your mental health during the school-to-work transition; how to network effectively; and tips/strategies for developing skills and experiences to build a life that aligns with your inner purpose. My time at UTM was full of memorable life events – from learning to deal with my first failed assignment to finally figuring out how to strike a sense of work/life balance in my fifth and final year – and I am excited to share my personal journey with you, and hear about yours as well!
