Resource Implications

As of January 2025, resource implications for course proposals are no longer submitted through a separate webform. Resource information is to be included in the proposal on Curriculum Management.

Resource Implications demonstrate how changes to courses may impact resource needs and availability. The OVPAD reviews these as part of new course proposals and select course modification proposals; this includes any modifications that increase or decrease the use of current resources (i.e. all changes to contact hours or mode of delivery).

When proposing new courses or course modifications, units must describe potential impacts to resource needs and availability in the Resources Required field in the course proposal, submitted through Curriculum Management. Some key considerations for different course proposals are highlighted below and in our minor modification guides. If you have any questions, please contact the PCU.
