This program is designed to develop Africa’s next generation of healthcare leaders. Learners will fast-track
their understanding and expand their knowledge in healthcare management, leadership, strategy, and other key areas in order to address critical industry challenges and priorities.

management.

Segment 1
Healthcare Governance & Ethics


Exploring how strong governance and ethical culture build trust, guide value-based decisions, and equip leaders to navigate emerging healthcare challenges.

Topics include:

  • Governance – what it is, and how it contributes to success
  • An ethical culture – rationale, creation, and maintenance
  • Making the right decisions – those based on values

Segment 2
Healthcare Strategy & Critical Thinking 


Developing the ability to think critically and lead strategically in an unpredictable world by aligning actions, anticipating challenges, and driving long-term organizational success.

Topics include:

  • Strategic thinking to align and direct all functional activities effectively
  • Understand strategic leadership and management
  • Leading strategically, critical thinking, competitive advantage, and other business problems. 

Segment 3
Risk Management for Healthcare


Learning to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational risks using the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework to strengthen decision-making and safeguard institutional integrity.

Topics include:

  • Introduction to the world standard, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework.
  • Applications of the ERM Framework.
  • Risk assessment, reporting and decision-making lessons learned.

Segment 4 | 6 
Foundations & Advanced Leadership


Building foundational and advanced leadership capabilities to motivate teams, adapt to change, and lead effectively through complex and high-pressure situations.

Topics include:

  • Motivation: What makes people tick, including yourself.
  • Leadership Styles and Approaches to maximize individual and team potential.
  • Leadership in difficult circumstances

Segment 5 
Healthcare Finance, Reporting, and Scorecards


Gaining essential financial management and analysis skills to enhance accountability, optimize resource allocation, and inform strategic decision-making within healthcare organizations.

Topics include:

  • Financial, performance and monitoring reporting.
  • Cost analysis for pricing and control.
  • Financial analysis for credit assessment, and purchase, or lease decisions.

Segment 7 
Forensic Considerations for Healthcare


Gaining essential financial management and analysis skills to enhance accountability, optimize resource allocation, and inform strategic decision-making within healthcare organizations.

Topics include:

  • Financial, performance and monitoring reporting.
  • Cost analysis for pricing and control.
  • Financial analysis for credit assessment, and purchase, or lease decisions.

Segment 8 

Digital Health, Artificial Intelligence, and Innovation in African Healthcare 

Participants will examine the opportunities and challenges of implementing digital health solutions in diverse contexts, while gaining practical insights into how data and digital tools can be leveraged to improve decision-making and service delivery.

Through real-world case examples and guest speaker sessions, the segment highlights how AI is being applied within the African healthcare landscape, including its potential to drive community-level impact. Participants will also explore leadership strategies for scaling health innovation, alongside examples of locally driven solutions advancing access, efficiency, and outcomes across the continent.
