BIGDataAIHUB has three main cross-disciplinary themes.
1. The interaction of big data with people
Including behavioural change and decision-making. Across many sectors, including business, health, education, and policy, organizations have been grappling with how to integrate big data into existing decision-making structures. More significantly, big data is spurring new ways of thinking about the nature of expertise and professional decision-making.
2. Big data and technology
This addresses technical questions across a range of domains: data analysis and modelling; the storage and retrieval of information, particularly salient in distributed data systems and ledger technology; information systems and databases; and cloud computing.
3. Systems and governance
Including issues of management, strategy, and accounting. Many of these themes are embraced by professions (including accounting, medicine and law).
