Assistant Director, Divisional Research, Analysis, and Assessment

Feihong currently serves as the Assistant Director for Divisional Research, Analysis, and Assessment in the Office of The Vice-President and Principal. In this role, she leads the UTM data team in developing data, reporting, and analytics solutions, providing valuable insights to the university and its cross-functional units. Her work is instrumental in emphasizing the significance of data in shaping campus-wide priorities and aligning UTM's data with its long-term vision. Before joining UTM in 2016, Feihong gained over six years of experience as a Data Science & Business Intelligence professional at the City of Mississauga and Safe City Mississauga. During this time, she excelled in data collection, analysis, and strategic data utilization, making substantial contributions to corporate business planning.

Feihong holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from McMaster University. Beyond her professional commitments, she actively participates in the Data Collaborative Committee, organized by Safe City Mississauga and Peel Regional Police, focusing on data analysis for innovative crime prevention. In her personal life, she leads youth performers and volunteers to promote diverse cultural heritage and raise funds for various charitable causes, including SickKids and Kiwanis Festivals.
