Starting university in a new country can feel both exciting, and overwhelming. You don’t have to do it alone.
The International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) pairs newly admitted international students with experienced UTM international student mentors who can help you prepare, settle in, and feel confident as you begin your journey.
From answering your questions to sharing real student advice, ISMP is here to support your transition — before you arrive.

How does the International Student Mentorship Program work?
- Mentees are connected with an upper-year mentor and receive one-on-one guidance.
- Mentors and mentees communicate over the course of 4 weeks asking questions and providing information (open enrollment for the duration of program).
