You can greatly reduce your chances of becoming a victim of personal belonging thefts by removing the opportunity and keeping your belongings with you - even if you intend to only step away briefly. 

Did You Know? 

In most cases of personal property thefts reported to Campus Safety, the items were left unattended -- often for a very short period of time! 

  1. Thefts often happen quickly. It can take less than a minute for someone to grab your belongings. 
  2. Victims of theft most commonly reported leaving their items unattended. 
  3. Thefts on campus are on a slow decrease, however by following these tips you can help eliminate thefts on our campus and protect yourself from falling victim.
