Although I’ve been at U of T Mississauga for over a decade, I still find myself smiling when stepping out of the car in the mornings because I love this campus! I chose UTM as a student because it offered me a world class U of T degree in a smaller community environment similar to my hometown. I’ve stayed on campus for my career because I want to give back to the community that gave me so much to be thankful for and look forward to. I very much credit my time at UTM with the education, career, and colleagues and friends I hold so dear and who have made me the person I am today.  As UTM’s first ever Manager of Pathways Programs, I connect with students coming to UTM through non-traditional pathways: those transferring from college or other universities, mature students who have been away from formal education for some time and require a bridge to university studies, as well as students whose first language is not English but who are academically strong and just need a little extra language support. I am here to answer questions about the admission requirements, application process, and transition opportunities for this growing non-traditional population of students. With my experience working in Recruitment, Advising, and Transfer Credits at UTM, I’m hoping to make the transition to our community a smooth and exciting one!

My name is Lindsay and I have been working with the University of Toronto Mississauga for almost 8 years. Before joining the University of Toronto, I attended Brock University and lived in St. Catharines.  I became very involved in university life and had great opportunities to work on campus, just like you would here at UTM.  My experience at Brock lead me down my career path in university administration and helped me get to where I am today.  I love being a part of the recruitment team and I enjoy sharing my UofT Mississauga pride with all of you.  If you are searching for me on campus, you can probably find me at our fabulous state of the art gym facility.  I love trying new gym classes including spin, weight lifting classes and more!  Being Italian, cooking and baking have been engrained in me, both have been a part of my life since I was small. Although I can whip up a lasagna, my passion is baking.  I can make everything from cakes to cookies; if you are lucky when you come to visit us, you’ll find some cute cupcakes or homemade Italian biscotti in our office. Whenever I can, I am planning a trip somewhere around the world. I have been lucky to have visited many different countries throughout Europe and get excited any time I can travel the world.  For those of you from the Hamilton/Niagara region, keep your eyes open as you will often find me in the area!

My name is Mariya, and I am one of the Recruitment/Liaison Officers at UTM. I graduated from high school in 2005 still unaware of what and where I wanted to study. I applied to three universities, all of which were local. I knew I wanted to come home at the end of the day to a home cooked meal and my own bed to sleep in. So, UTM it was. I really appreciated the flexibility of studying diverse programs and gaining a plethora of knowledge. After four years, three programs, and a set of great friends, I can truly say that I had a great experience at UTM – so great that I never left. I now recruit for the largest university in Canada! My journey began as a work-study student at the Office of the Registrar in my fourth year. I stuck around after graduating, and two years later, my perseverance paid off. I became a permanent Recruitment/Liaison Officer. I can honestly say that I love my job. Aside from the actual work I do – which is discussing the endless opportunities available at UofT with students like you – I get to travel across Ontario and out of province. If you attend high school in Mississauga, Brampton, Etobicoke, Georgetown, Milton, or British Columbia, I’ll see you there!

Welcome! My name is Madison and I am one of the Recruitment Officers here at UTM. I am so pleased that you are considering the University of Toronto Mississauga for your postsecondary studies! I graduated from U of T Mississauga in 2012, with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. UTM has really become a second home to me over the 7 years that I have been here. As a prospective high school student, I was drawn to the University of Toronto because of its world-renowned reputation, the size of the institution, the variety of opportunities; both academic as well as social and the breadth of programs. I specifically chose the Mississauga campus because of the close knit community feel and the environment of the campus. It is truly such a beautiful place to study and work at! I chose to live in Residence at UTM in my first year and loved it so much that I made UTM my home away from home for my entire degree. As a student at UTM I was part of the UTM Dance Team and I worked as a Residence Don, Program Assistant and a Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions. Following my degree, I was happy to be able to continue at UTM in a professional capacity. I love that my job includes sharing my experiences at UTM with prospective students! I look forward to meeting you and speaking to you about the opportunities available for you at UTM. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Welcome to UTM! My name is Megan, I’m the Admissions and Recruitment Assistant at the University of Toronto Mississauga. I’m here to support you through the admissions process. I graduated in 2013 with a Specialist in Theatre and Drama Studies, Major in History and minor in English. From the very moment I arrived on campus in 2009, I knew I was in the right place. I love that this campus is tucked away and surrounded by wildlife. It’s also conveniently located between both Hamilton (my hometown) and downtown Toronto. I was not only drawn to UTM for its location and campus, but also for its passion for innovation and development. We are constantly growing! There are so many resources to take advantage of, and dedicated staff and faculty who are passionate about student success. At UTM, opportunities are truly boundless. I lived in Oscar Peterson Hall in my first year on campus, and a Don at Erindale Hall during my second year. I loved working with U of T so much, I continued to work throughout my undergraduate degree. UTM embraced my passion for learning and provided me with the resources and opportunities that shaped me into who I am today. I had an amazing experience as a student here, and after 2 years of working and travelling the world, I’m glad to be back on our beautiful campus to welcome you as you embark on your next big adventure - your undergraduate career! Come in for a campus tour – we can’t wait to meet you!
