Welcome! My name is Madison and I am one of the Recruitment Officers here at UTM. I am so pleased that you are considering the University of Toronto Mississauga for your postsecondary studies! I graduated from U of T Mississauga in 2012, with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree. UTM has really become a second home to me over the 7 years that I have been here. As a prospective high school student, I was drawn to the University of Toronto because of its world-renowned reputation, the size of the institution, the variety of opportunities; both academic as well as social and the breadth of programs. I specifically chose the Mississauga campus because of the close knit community feel and the environment of the campus. It is truly such a beautiful place to study and work at! I chose to live in Residence at UTM in my first year and loved it so much that I made UTM my home away from home for my entire degree. As a student at UTM I was part of the UTM Dance Team and I worked as a Residence Don, Program Assistant and a Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions. Following my degree, I was happy to be able to continue at UTM in a professional capacity. I love that my job includes sharing my experiences at UTM with prospective students! I look forward to meeting you and speaking to you about the opportunities available for you at UTM. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Welcome to UTM! My name is Megan, and I’m one of the Recruitment Officers at the University of Toronto Mississauga. From the moment I arrived on campus in 2009, I knew I was in the right place. I love that this is a green campus surrounded by wildlife. It’s also conveniently located between both Hamilton (my hometown) and downtown Toronto. I was also drawn to UTM for its passion for innovation and development. We are constantly growing! There are so many resources to take advantage of, and dedicated staff and faculty who are passionate about student success. I lived in Oscar Peterson Hall in my first year on campus, and worked with Student Housing and Residence Life for the remainder of my undergrad. UTM embraced my passion for learning and provided me with opportunities that shaped me into who I am today. I had an amazing experience as a student here, and after 2 years of working and travelling the world, I’m glad to be back on our beautiful campus to welcome you as you embark on your next big adventure - your undergraduate career! I look forward to meeting you and speaking to you about the opportunities available for you at UTM. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with me.

Hometown: Etobicoke, Ontario
High School: Michael Power/St. Joseph
Degree: Master of Education, University of Toronto (OISE), 2014
Programs: Higher Education

I joined the University of Toronto community in 2007 when I started my BA specialist degree in English. While an undergraduate student, I spent much of my time in the Athletic Centre (AC) on campus. This was largely due to the fact that I competed for the Varsity Blues Cross Country running team for three years. Participating in a university sport was a great way to get involved and represent such a fantastic institution! I later decided to complete an M.Ed in Higher Education at OISE so that I could continue my time in the university community in a professional capacity. While completing this degree I had the opportunity to work as a work-study student in the School of Continuing Studies. This is where I learned about my love for working with students. I'm always excited to learn about a student's goals and how post-secondary education can help the student achieve them. I am so excited to now be at the beautiful Mississauga campus! I look forward to hearing about your goals and helping you get started on your path here at UTM!

My name is Adam Fraser and I am the Manager of Pathway Programs here at the University of Toronto Mississauga. After attending two previous universities, I finally transferred to UTM, which has now been my home for over 12 years. Coming from a small (very small) town, UTM, to me had a great community feel. I was able to excel in my academics, build a close community, and took advantage of the many out-of-class opportunities all of which made for an unforgettable university experience…which is probably why I have not left.

As the Manager of Pathways Programs, I get to connect with students who are coming to UTM through a non-traditional pathways such as those transferring from college or other universities, mature students or those who have strong academics but need extra language support. Being a non-traditional student myself it makes my work that much more enjoyable and rewarding. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me regarding the best pathway to continuing your education.
