Although I’ve been at U of T Mississauga for over a decade, I still find myself smiling when stepping out of the car in the mornings because I love this campus! I chose UTM as a student because it offered me a world class U of T degree in a smaller community environment similar to my hometown. I’ve stayed on campus for my career because I want to give back to the community that gave me so much to be thankful for and look forward to. I very much credit my time at UTM with the education, career, and colleagues and friends I hold so dear and who have made me the person I am today.  I’ve recently taken on a new role as UTM’s first ever Manager of Pathways Programs. I connect with students transferring from colleges and other universities to help them navigate this system and institution. Also, I help develop new academic and transition programs for those students who may have been away from formal education for some time. With my experience working in Recruitment, Advising, and Transfer Credits at UTM, I’m hoping to make the transition to our community a smooth and exciting one!

My name is Lindsay and I have been working with the University of Toronto Mississauga for almost 4 years. Before joining the University of Toronto, I attended Brock University and lived in St. Catharines.  I became very involved in university life and had great opportunities to work on campus, just like you would here at UTM.  My experience at Brock lead me down my career path in university administration and helped me get to where I am today.  I love being a part of the recruitment team, making a triumphant return to this fabulous office this past October. If you are searching for me on campus, you can probably find me either in line at one of our Tim Horton locations or at our fabulous state of the art gym facility. Spin is my workout of choice so feel free to join me for a class, if you dare! Being Italian, cooking and baking have been engrained in me, both have been a part of my life since I was small. Although I can whip up a lasagna, my passion is baking.  I can make everything from cakes to cookies; if you are lucky when you come to visit us, you’ll find some cute cupcakes or homemade Italian biscotti in our office. Whenever I can, I am planning a trip somewhere around the world. I have been lucky to have visited many different countries throughout Europe and am excited as I am planning a trip to Italy this summer. For those of you from the Hamilton/Niagara region, keep your eyes open as you will find me in the area this coming September!

Hello World! I am one of the Recruitment/Liaison Officers at UTM. I graduated from high school in 2005 still unaware of what and where I wanted to study. I applied to three universities, all of which were local. I knew I wanted to come home at the end of the day to a home cooked meal and my own bed to sleep in. So, UTM it was. I really appreciated the flexibility of studying diverse programs and gaining a plethora of knowledge. After four years, three programs, and a set of great friends, I can truly say that I was content with my experience at UTM – so content that I never left. I now recruit for the largest university in Canada! My journey began as a work-study student at the Office of the Registrar in my fourth year. I stuck around after graduating, and two years later, my perseverance paid off. I became a permanent Recruitment/Liaison Officer. I can honestly say that I love my job. Aside from the actual work I do – which is advising students like you – I get to travel to many places that I wouldn’t otherwise visit. 2011 was all about Oakville to St. Catharines and Quebec. Mississauga, Brampton, and Etobicoke: I’ll see more of you this year!

My name is Ting, and I am a member of the Recruitment team here at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus. My area of focus is international student recruitment. I have more than five years of experience in this field, having previously worked as the senior recruitment officer at McMaster University recruiting international students within Canada and abroad. I have an undergraduate degree from McMaster University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business. Having been an international student myself, I can really relate to the obstacles and challenges you might have as a new comer to this country. I am here to help! Here at UTM, you will find all sorts of aid geared to create a welcoming environment for international students to advance in their studies. We have all sorts of resources ready to help you on your path of success. I’ll be visiting international schools in the near future to tell you all about UTM and to answer your questions. See you very soon! If you cannot wait and have questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Welcome! My name is Madison and I am the newest addition to the Recruitment & Admissions team here at UTM. I am a recent graduate of the University of Toronto Mississauga having completed my Honours Bachelor of Science degree in 2012. UTM has really become a second home to me over the 5 ½ years I have been here. I was drawn to the University of Toronto as a prospective high school student, because of its world-renowned reputation, the size of the institution, the variety of opportunities and the breadth of programs. I specifically chose the Mississauga campus because of the close knit community feel and the environment of the campus. I chose to live in Residence at UTM in my first year and loved it so much; I made UTM my home away from home for my entire degree. As a student at UTM I was part of the UTM Dance Team and I worked as a Residence Don, Program Assistant and a Student Ambassador in the Office of Admissions. Following my degree, I was happy to be able to continue at UTM in a professional capacity. I love that my job includes sharing my experiences at UTM with prospective students! I look forward to meeting you and speaking to you about the opportunities available for you at UTM. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
