Award Opprtunities

› There are several different award opportunities for MBiotech students. Some are specifically for MBiotech students while other opportunities are for students across other program being offered at the University.

 Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS)

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program recognises academic excellence in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels in all disciplines of academic study. The OGS program at UofT is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario and the University of Toronto.

The OGS carries a value of $5,000 per term. Thus, awardees may receive up to $15,000 for three consecutive terms.

For complete information about OGS including eligibility criteria and documentation required, please see the SGS website. Please note that in the plan of study area, as we are not a research based program, please write about your professional goals following the degree.

You may apply for the OGS if you have applied to a UofT program (even if you have not yet been offered admission); simply indicate the program(s) you have applied for on your application. If you are admitted/accept admission to a UofT program, you will be considered for the award.

The deadline for MBiotech applicants and students to apply for the 2023-2024 OGS is 15 March, 2024 for international applicants and 29 March, 2024 for domestic applicants.
