Registration Guide for Transfer Students
If you are transferring from another university or college, then this is a must-read:
For studies at other Canadian universities, students can access Transfer Explorer, U of T Mississauga’s database of previously assessed transfer credit equivalencies.

Transfer Credit Application Process
It's simple — just follow these five steps.
1. Pay for transfer credit assessment
Once you receive your offer of admission, go to the Transfer Credit Online Application and submit payment of the $30 assessment fee. Alternatively, students may pay via debit or credit card in person at the U of T Mississauga Office of the Registrar. This fee is mandatory and must be paid to initiate your transfer credit assessment.
Note: transfer credit assessment priority will be given to students who have accepted their U of T Mississauga offer of admission.
2. Submit official course outlines (syllabi)
Detailed course outlines are necessary for students to receive an accurate and complete assessment. A detailed course outline should include: the course objectives, the number of credit hours, the length of the course, the grading scheme, a week-to-week topic summary, a reading list (i.e. required textbooks), and a breakdown of essays, tests, and exams.
Submitting detailed course outlines is mandatory for courses taken outside of Canada, however, the Transfer Credit Unit often requires outlines for Canadian courses in order to proceed with domestic assessments. Therefore, to facilitate a quick and accurate assessment and to ensure appropriate course selection, it is advisable for all students to submit detailed syllabi well before U of T Mississauga’s course enrollment dates.
Detailed course outlines (syllabi) for previous studies may be submitted electronically via email: firstname.lastname@example.org (Word Documents or PDF files only). Alternatively, hard copies may be mailed, couriered, or delivered in person to the address below.
3. Official English translations
Official English translations must accompany official transcripts and course outlines issued in a language other than English. If you have questions about this, please contact the Transfer Credit office at email@example.com.
4. Have your previous institution(s) mail us your final official transcripts
Transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to U of T Mississauga's Transfer Credit Office (we do not accept copies "issued to student"). Have transcripts sent to:
Adam Giles or John Ng
Transfer Credit Office, Office of the Registrar
Room 1235, Innovation Complex
