Jessica Stokes

Jessica’s research focuses on the cooking and brewing practices in the Early Pottery Neolithic. Specifically, her project investigates the presence of Starch Spherulites in pottery sherds from the site of Sha’ar Hagolan and the Yarmukian culture. In her research she hopes to identify fermentation in vessels from one of the first pottery producing cultures. 

Having volunteered in the Ramsey Lab in her undergraduate studies she is very excited to be returning to lab and continuing to volunteer, as well as starting her research!
