Alan Kulangara

Alan is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto Mississauga, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Biology. With an interest in combining both fields, he aims to apply his programming skills to image recognition tasks and his biology background to support lab and data work. He is particularly drawn to phytolith identification as a way to explore how computational tools can aid in understanding biological structures and patterns, and looks forward to contributing to interdisciplinary research and building experience in data analysis.
