JANUARY 2024 CYCLE:
Booking process for space requests with reservation start dates in April to August 2024. Spaces include all glasshouses, growth chambers and environmental rooms.
- Jan 8 – We will send a call to submit space requests through Growth Facilities listserv. Applications can be submitted online as soon as the call is received. Maximum booking time remains one year.
- Jan 8 to 31 – Space request submissions with reservation start dates in April to August 2024. The application form is available at Bookitlab > Reservations > Growth Facilities Space Requests
- Feb 1 to Mar 15
- All space requests will be reviewed simultaneously.
- Multiple requests for one chamber will be resolved through discussion among the involved parties. If this remains unresolved, we will assign space using a random draw picker.
- Back-to-back requests for the same space may take a lower priority. Another user’s request will be prioritized.
- Mar 18 – Space allocation and training requirements will be sent out to users
- Apr 1 or reservation start date – New user moves in
- Sep 16 or reservation end date – User clean-up and move out
Off-cycle requests (including new faculty) – Space requests to use remaining unbooked spaces may be submitted from March 19 to June 28, 2024. Processing time is strictly one month. The reservation end date is on or before September 13, 2024.
FOLLOWING CYCLE: A space request call will be sent out in early July for requests with reservation start dates in October 2024 to February 2025. The timeline will be similar to January 2024 cycle (described above).
Reservations for dates prior to March 2024 will still follow the first-come, first serve policy. However, these reservations will have an end date of March 15, 2024.
