Professor Lehnherr’s research interests and teaching include biogeochemistry; environmental chemistry; limnology and oceanography; stable-isotope applications; climate change; contaminants, especially mercury. His research aims to understand the impacts of stressors such as contaminants, nutrients, and climate and environmental change on northern (Arctic, boreal, and alpine) aquatic ecosystems.
