Environmental Management includes Specialist, Major, and Minor programs that examine the intersections of the environment and sustainable development with society, the economy, and public policy. These interdisciplinary programs prepare students to understand environmental challenges, evaluate their social, ethical, and economic dimensions, and contribute to sustainable and environmentally responsible decision-making.
Perspectives from the Social Sciences and Humanities support the exploration of environmental politics, economics, sociology, law, ethics, history, and literature, while foundational studies in Science provide an understanding of natural systems. The programs also develop specialized knowledge and analytical skills in resource management, environmental assessment, sustainability, and the social, economic, and policy dimensions of environmental change.
