Embark on a transformative journey with Erin Mills Connects as we present a special two-part online workshop, in collaboration with the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Centre for Child Development, Mental Health, and Policy (CCDMP). Join us on February 21st and February 28th, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as we delve into the essence of social-emotional development through The 3Es: Emotion Regulation, Empathy for Self, and Empathy for Others.

What to Expect:

Part 1 - February 21, 2024: Explore the foundation of social-emotional development as we navigate the intricate aspects of emotion regulation. Uncover practical insights into understanding and managing emotions, laying the groundwork for a healthier and more connected life.

Part 2 - February 28, 2024: Continue your journey with us as we delve into the remaining 3Es - Empathy for Self and Empathy for Others. Gain valuable strategies to cultivate a compassionate understanding of your own emotions and those of the people around you, fostering meaningful connections within your personal and professional spheres.

Description:
Over 2 sessions, parents/caregivers will learn about children’s social-emotional development, specifically “The 3Es of Social-Emotional Development”: emotion regulation, empathy for the self, and empathy for others. During these sessions, practical strategies for supporting children’s development and mental health will also be shared.

Registration Required. University of Toronto students, staff, postdoctoral fellows and faculty are welcome. Partners and family members (including chosen family members) who are co-caregivers with U of T students, staff, postdoctoral fellows and faculty are also welcome to attend.
