Ongoing: W.G. Davis Building Renovation of Loading Dock Area (Level 0)

As part of the New Science Building Project, the General Contractor will be renovating the Loading Dock Area located in W.G. Davis Building, Level 0.

This renovation will include demolition and construction (expansion) of the Loading Dock area.

This work has been already started and will be completed by October 2024.

ONGOING: P4 Parking Deck Lower Level Ramp Closure

Work is ongoing but the ramp to the P4 Parking Deck Lower Level entrance continues to be closed.  The ramp closure is required in order to facilitate the construction work to repair the damaged deck as well as the installation of a new concrete panel.  Barricades will be put in place and scaffolding will be installed on the ramp up to the Upper Level deck.

Notice of Schreiberwood Residence Townhouse Complex G Demolition, starting the week of April 29, 2024

Demolition work will be taking place in a select area of Schreiberwood Residence Townhouses (Complex G) and is anticipated to begin the week of April 29, 2024.  This work is needed as part of the preparation for the construction of the highly-awaited New Student Residence.

UPDATE: Notice of Construction at Recreation Athletics and Wellness Centre (RAWC) Front Entrance, Outer Circle, as of May 30, 2024

Since Monday, April 29th 2024, the majority of the RAWC entrance forecourt will be closed until mid June. This closure is required as part of the RAWC outdoor entrance revitalization project that aims to address the poor condition of the concrete at RAWC entrance.  The project will be conducted in phases over the course of the Summer.

Stage 2 Municipal Roadwork: Burnhamthorpe Road West Bridge Retrofit, starting April 29, 2024

We are sharing a message from the City of Mississauga about the next stage of continuing roadwork near campus that may impact your commute to campus due to lane reductions.  

 

As always, we encourage our community to consider sustainable ways to get to campus such as public transit to reduce the volume of single-passenger vehicle use to campus and to review detour routes if recommended by the City during the project.

Pre-Construction Notice of Municipal work on Dundas Street West, starting summer 2024

Notice of Civil Works for Emergency Repairs of High Voltage Electrical Infrastructure – Inner Circle Road, starting Tuesday, May 21, 2024

Alectra Utilities is going to undertake emergency repairs to underground high voltage electrical infrastructure along Inner Circle Road and between Kaneff Centre & Academic Annex Civil works will be undertaken to repair two sections of the underground high voltage cables running from Kaneff Centre along Inner Circle towards McLuhan Court.  (please see map attached).

Notice of Partial Lane Reduction Along Outer Circle at RAWC, on Tuesday, June 4, 2024

A partial lane reduction along Outer Circle, in front of RAWC building has been scheduled on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 (weather dependent, alternate date of June 5th).

This activity will begin at 7:00 AM and continue until roughly 12pm.  This activity is necessary to facilitate concrete pouring as part of the ‘RAWC Outdoor Paving Revitalization’ project.

Notice of Layby Lane Closure in front of Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre, starting June 10, 2024

Starting on June 10th, 2024, The Hazel McCallion Academic Learning Centre (HMALC) Layby/Drop off Lane will be closed for approximately 8-10 weeks until mid-August. 

This closure is to allow for repairs to the underground utilities tunnel for project P300-23-136 CUP Tunnel Rehabilitation Phase 3.
