Research Impact

Research impact is the demonstrable contribution that research makes to academia, society and the economy. Getting your research read and discussed will increase your impact and increase your competitiveness for honours and awards.

  • SciVal enables you to visualize research performance, benchmark relative to peers, develop collaborative partnerships and analyze research trends. 
  • InCites (Clarivate) is a citation-based evaluation tool for analyzing institutional productivity and benchmarking output against peers nationally and internationally.

Outreach and communication 

Promoting your research to a general audience increases its reach and impact. Learn more about using different media channels, including social media, the university website, online, print and broadcast media, and other public engagement channels to share information about your work.

  • Researchers can sign up to be added to the U of T Blue Book, a searchable directory of U of T experts who can comment on the news of the day. 

 


UTM events 

Throughout the year, UTM holds events that showcase research and other scholarly work produced by UTM researchers.
