UofT Mississauga Professor Ron Buliung is a co-author on a study exploring kids' freedom to explore places within their neighbourhoods without adult supervision and what it means for their physical health.

The study by lead author Rakim Mitra from Ryerson University, and co-authored by U of T's Guy Faulkner and Ron Buliung and Michelle Stone of Dalhousie University, finds that kids who have more freedom to explore tend to get more physical activity than kids who are constantly supervised.

Professor Mitra was featured on CBC's Metro Morning as well as further coverage on CBC News website.
