Welcome to StepUPP
Why choose university?
Your child wants to attend university. Don't know where to start? Not sure if university is even the right choice?
You’re not alone. Many parents are often unsure of how to help their children set (and achieve) their higher educational goals.
In which category do you fit?
- I have not attended university
- I come from another country with a different educational system
We are here to help. Introducing StepUPP – University Preparation for Parents.
Together, parents and their children take part in seminars, workshops and mentoring sessions to better understand the higher education environment.
The program will highlight three key areas:
- The value of a post-secondary education, including information about colleges, universities and apprenticeships.
- How to finance post-secondary education.
- What it takes to be a successful student in college or university and the key roles played by parents and family.
StepUPP is funded by the Government of Ontario and operated by the University of Toronto Mississauga.
