Calcitonin-like diuretic hormones in insects

calcitonin-like diuretic hormone structure
Meet ZandawalaCongratulations to Meet Zandawala (left photo) from the Orchard Lab, for his recently published, sole-authored paper in Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology!

This paper summarizes the current knowledge on insect calcitonin-like diuretic hormones (see right image), focusing on mRNA and peptide structures, distribution patterns, physiological roles, and receptors in insects. Since little is known about the biological activities of these hormones, this summary hopes to create avenues for future research to determine their function(s).

Great work, Meet!
