296 P. sennae 2:05 2 m flap straight,
erratic
level,
variable
152° - 173° 2.5 m/s - - - Altitude of butterfly averaged 2 m.  It flew over my insect net, then continued on as before.
297 P. sennae 2:12 4 m flap straight level,
variable
207° - 142° 3.6 m/s - - - Butterfly oscillated between 1 - 2 m, and 2 - 4 m.  A second J. sennae was seen that had the same flight pattern.
298 D. plexippus 2:19 1 m flap straight level,
variable
230° - 169° 2.7 m/s - - - Butterfly oscillated between 0.5 m and 1 m. Two more D. plexippus were also observed.
299 P. sennae 2:19 2 m flap straight level,
variable
133° - 176° 2.0 m/s - - - Butterfly oscillated between 0.3 m and 2 m and was drifted strongly by the cross wind.
- - 2:22 - - - - - - - - - - - A great southern white, Ascia monuste, flew by.
Break - - - - - - - - - - - - - I released another radar-reflective balloon.
Resume - 2:33 - - - - - - - - - - - A D. plexippus was observed off to one side.  The butterfly was in a thermal and climbed to 30 m before leaving the thermal and descending.
