173° - 012° 3.4 m/s - yes - Butterfly was circling and soaring at 30 m, but not gaining altitude.  It then switched to variable flight, encountered, or located, a region of stronger lift, began circle, and rapidly gained altitude.  Two more D. plexippus were also seen, one flying higher and and one flying lower.

182° 237° 350° 3.1 m/s - yes - Butterfly started at 20 m soared in circles a few times in an area of weak lift without gaining altitude. It then switched to variable flight, including some flapping, encountered or located a patch of stronger lift , began to soar in circles and gain altitude.
