- - 9:06 - - - - - - - - - - - WW:  Radar was not detecting any targets.  High scans with binoculars were also negative.
- - 9:16 - - - - - - 153° - - - - Direction of drift of released balloon indicated wind is 160°.
- - 9:25 - - - - - - 148° 3.1 m/s - - - -
307 D. plexippus 9:40 1 m flap straight level,
landed
304° left - - - - cumulo-
stratus
At 9:38 two D. plexippus were seen flying by the van at 1 m above the ground. Overcast is breaking up and cumulus is developing.
- - 9:42 - - - - - - 154° 4.0 m/s 18.5°C - - A D. plexippus was seen at 100 m.  Balloon showed that there is a strong wind shear aloft, swinging from from SE near the ground to SW aloft.
- - 10:06 - - - - - - 191° 5.8 m/s 21.5°C - Broken
cumulus
High scans through binoculars were not productive
- - 10:32 - - - - - - - - - yes - WW:  Radar shows possible low targets.  Swifts were foraging.
