- - - - - - - - - - - - - - There was an unexplained 1 hour and 27 minute gap in the record, apparently due to failure of the tape recorder.  When the problem was corrected at 5:30, the following summary of the missing data was recorded from memory: Modest numbers dropped down (descended) between 5:00 and 5:30 - many acted as foragers (began investigating flowers, trees, etc.) - most drifted downfield holding Rt. crab (most were gliding and/or soaring S while holding a right rotated heading).
Quit - 5:41 - - - - - - - - - - - Five minutes of high scans through binoculars were not productive.
