Universities and colleges have been known to be the place to get a higher level education to develop your knowledge, skills, and become more professional to hopefully find a stable job and enter the workforce. However, more stories are popping up where a founder or cofounder of a company drops out of school or works on a side project while in school. The common theme in these 10+ year old stories is the lack of resources at the school to foster the students’ ideas and projects. Nowadays, students are engaging in a more creative educational experience with entrepreneurship; and post-secondary institutions are getting equipped to help by developing spaces, courses, and extracurricular programs for these budding entrepreneurs.
In Ontario alone, there is an ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship full of accelerators linked to Universities and campuses helping entrepreneurs and students. Below is a list of some of the institutions linked to Universities and colleges across Ontario.
