"Suzan-Lori Parks is one of the most important playwrights America has ever produced." - Tony Kushner	Time flies. Playwrights capture time in snippets. On November 13th 2002, Suzan-Lori Parks began a quest to write a play a day for an entire year. The result is a cycle of plays that became a theatrical phenomenon with themes ranging from war to love to politics to race. Parks has given the theatre an anthology of dramatic work from hilarious parody to powerful lyricism, from theater of the absurd to tragedy. Come take flight with our selection of these pieces — meant to entertain, enlighten and rekindle a time before everything suddenly changed forever.

William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night The Classical Theatre Project Directed by Meredith Scott
	How do you create a new life in a new place? What happens when you fall in love with the wrong person? Why is everyone longing for someone or something they can’t have? The third-year class makes their Studio Series debut in Shakespeare’s ensemble comedy about what is lost and what is found – love, family and identity – as the sea washes a brave young woman up on the shores of an unfamiliar country.

Clybourne Park Bruce Norris Directed by David Matheson
"Thought-provoking, squirm-inducing, riotously funny - it reminds you of why you go to the theatre. " - West End Whingers	Set in two acts 50 years apart, the past and current owners of 406 Clybourne Street are confronted by racial and cultural divisions. In both cases, a battle over the community takes place, pitting race against real estate with this home as the battlefield. Bruce Norris’s satire is a savage and funny ode to Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun. Clybourne Park won the Pulitzer Prize, and both the Tony and the Olivier Award for best play.

*The Devised Project* Directed by Rachel Blair
	After a semester of studying Devised Theatre foundations, the third-year class will spend eight weeks collectively creating an original production, fully taking ownership of their work. Using movement, design, and selected source material as inspiration, the ensemble will no doubt create work that is truly topical and contemporary!

Really Really Paul Downs Colaizzo Directed by Michael Bradley
	The campus party of the year sparks morning-after gossip, and a dangerous collision between self-interest and the truth. He said, she said, but what really happened that night? Loyalty and friendship give way to vicious ambition, class warfare and sexual politics. Gripping, provocative, and searingly funny, Really Really paints a dark and ambiguous portrait of ‘Generation Me’, where it’s every future leader for themselves.

Top Girls Caryl Churchill Directed by Melee Hutton

Set in Britain in the 1980s against a Thatcher government and social unrest, we meet Marlene who is celebrating her recent executive promotion by inviting five women from history to join her for dinner. Along the way, we learn what these women had to do to succeed and at what personal cost. A chronicle of its time and a forewarning to ours, Top Girls remains relevant in its discussions of women, politics, family and money. Churchill's post-modern approach to strurcture, chronology and language hit the stage like a lightning bolt and secured her own Top Girl ranking as Britain's most skilled female dramatist.
