UTM Graduation Ceremonies for 2020 & 2021 Grads
Dear Colleagues,
I’m pleased to share that UTM graduates from 2020 & 2021, who did not have the opportunity to convocate in person due to the global pandemic, will finally have the opportunity to walk across the stage at Convocation Hall.
Four graduation ceremonies have been schedule for approximately 1,700 UTM graduates and will take place on Friday, December 9th(10am & 2pm) and Saturday, December 10th (10am & 2pm). Please refer to the Office of Convocation website for the complete celebration schedule.
Amrita Daniere, Kathi Wilson, Tracey Bowen and I will serve as the Presiding Officers for these ceremonies.
We are awaiting information on how faculty, librarians and staff can register to join the academic processions as well as information on gown rentals. As soon as this information is available, it will be shared with the UTM community. For now, I ask you to please save the date if you are interested in participating in one of these ceremonies.
The role of Reader will be contracted to a third-party vendor but the Office of Convocation would still like volunteers to serve as back-up Readers. If you would like to submit your name as a back-up Reader, please contact Akaila Cowell. The Office of Convocation will provide more details on this role shortly.
