Message from the Vice-President & Principal
Dear UTM community,
I have received concerning reports of two antisemitic incidents on our campus at the beginning and end of last week. I wanted to let the UTM community know that these reports are under review by our Campus Safety team.
While these processes take place, I write to remind all members of our community that the University takes action in response to complaints of discrimination or discriminatory harassment, and that suspected hate speech or incitement to violence are reported to Peel Regional Police.
If any member of our community is threatened or harassed, they should report to our Campus Safety team at 416-978-2222.
I know that events around the world continue to have an impact on our community, and that last Tuesday was a painful day for many at UTM. I encourage anyone who is struggling to visit this website, which includes information about community supports and mental health and wellness resources.
With best wishes – I hope you found time for rest over the long weekend,
Alexandra Gillespie
