UTM Community Engagement Fund

The UTM Community Engagement Fund provides monetary support to projects, events, and initiatives led by UTM student groups and academic societies working in partnership with community organizations in the Peel Region.

The aim is to encourage, support and ignite partnerships with the broader community, and create community-engaged learning and/or civic awareness and engagement opportunities for students and community members.

Why Apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for students to strengthen their interpersonal and professional relationship building skills, as well as plan and execute a project they are passionate about that will positively impact their community.

Who Can Apply?

In order to receive funding, student groups/academic societies must be:

  • Ulife Recognized
  • Active on the University of Toronto Mississauga campus
  • Affiliated or working in partnership with an external organization in the Peel Region

 

Examples of Projects that Qualify for Funding:

  • Community Day Events
  • Workshops
  • Conferences
  • Exhibits
  • Film screenings
  • Initiatives to encourage engagement in the broader community

Applications Open 

To Apply:

1. Complete this form with the required information. (APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED)

2. Wait for an email from the Centre for Student Engagement with details about the status of your application.

3. If approved, you will be asked to visit the Centre for Student Engagement to pick-up the cheque.

4. A Funding Reflection form must be completed no later than 14 days after your event/project, along with original receipts.
