Registration for Leadership Week is now closed.

How can you be a more successful leader? Research shows that people who are gritty and resilient are more successful in life. During our Leadership Week, you will learn to build resiliency, enhance your ability to overcome difficulties and develop a personal mission statement to help you achieve your goals.

The Centre for Student Engagement is excited to bring UTM this opportunity based on the book Grit by Angela Duckworth. Whether it's a bad mark or a failed plan, having grit is what makes the difference between someone who gives up and someone who gets back up and moves forward with passion.

Leadership Week will help you:

  • Identify long-term goals
  • Build resilience to better face the year with even more perseverance
  • Build your grit and enhance your ability to overcome difficulties
  • Develop mental toughness
  • Incorporate mindfulness
  • Make new friends through a virtual space
